It’s easy to think that the only solution to needing more living space is to move house, but with the help of an architect you could find new, fresh and exciting ways to live in your home rather than move.

Steve Day of Fabric Architects understands that everyone has a dream project for their home, so if you are thinking of altering or extending your home whether it be a grand design or something smaller we can help you make the most out of your home. We are holding our first monthly ‘Open Studio’ session on Saturday 16th April and 14th May the following month at our offices in West Bridgford between 10am-3pm, providing a chance for homeowners to get some expert advice to help make their home development dreams a reality. Many people don’t realise the benefit of using an architect to get the most from their project, so come along and have a chat and see what can be achieved.

To take advantage of this opportunity to ‘ask the architect’ contact Steve Day on 0115 977 5020 to pre-book your appointment.

Status: Complete 2011.

The extension and alterations to this house have opened up the rear of this detatched home to create a new open plan kitchen, dining and living space. The new folding glazed doors open up the house to the rear creating a strong physical and visual link to the garden outside. The new extension steps down internally and externally with the new timber deck to graduate the level difference between the house and garden. The design incorporates a new utility room which allows the space to function for everyday family use.
